Bowling Tournament Policy

A.     GENERAL 

1.       Only approved tournaments will be allowed at RCSC bowling facilities. The following general criteria for approval is established; however, the RCSC Board of Directors reserves the right to change or modify this criteria if, in their opinion, it is in the best interest of the RCSC membership.

2.      A series of games bowled in a single tournament competition, sponsored by an approved
         club or organization or directed in-house by the Bowling Manager.

 3.     Members will be permitted to play at the member rate, non-residents at the guest rate
          with the following exceptions:

                 a)   Tournaments sponsored by the ABC/WIBC will require all entrants to pay the                         lineage rate posted on the entry form. 

4.       Tournaments shall be scheduled in advance and requests submitted to the Bowling Manager.  Upon request for a tournament, the Bowling Manager will verify the validity of the request. 

5.       Upon the request for bid by an ABC/WIBC sponsored event, the Bowling Manager will submit the appropriate bid if the lanes can accommodate the tournament on the requested dates and squad times. Scheduled event is then recorded and publicized.

6.       In-house tournaments will be directed by management and will be open to guests and non-residents with the following exceptions:

a)   Bowler of the Year and tournaments which require all entrants to be a member
      of a league bowling in a Sun City bowling center.  In-house events do not need
      prior approval. 

7.     The following tournaments have been approved and do not require subsequent approval
         unless changes in format have been made: 

            Non-Residents Allowed: 

            Hall of Fame                 -                       February

            Ladies No Tap             -                       March

            Sun City Open              -                       May

            Bowl For The Cure      -                       October

  ABC/WIBC Association Tournaments.  
 

B.  SPECIAL BOWLING CRITERIA

            1.         No tournaments shall be scheduled that conflict with scheduled league play
                        unless approved by that league. 

            2.         No more than one facility will schedule a tournament other than an in-house
                        tournament, on the same day unless approved by the Board of Directors. 

            3.         The tournament shall be scheduled in such a manner which would allow one shift
                        (of the three) to be available for open play, if possible. 

  4.         Any tournament that cannot completely comply with all the preceding paragraphs
                        will be evaluated on an individual basis, as deemed necessary.
