Shared Use of Recreation Center Facilities

From time to time the RCSC has been
requested to share our facilities with other organizations whenever such
use is for the benefit of the general RCSC members. Therefore:
1. No events
will be allowed by any group other than RCSC
organizations for fund raising,commercial uses, or political campaigns.
2. a. The RCSC Board of Directors has total discretion to
approve or disapprove the use of all
RCSC facilities based on whether or not it is in the best interest of
RCSC members. (Amended Feb. 22, 2001)
b. All non-resident or general public use of RCSC
facilities will be required to pay non- resident rates, even if
sponsored by residents. Residential rental will apply when a
substantial number of Sun City residents are in attendance.

3. No business, including instruction classes, will be conducted
on RCSC property without approval of the RCSC Board of Directors.

4. The event may be limited to RCSC members and guests or may
allow the general public.
5. Rental charges, set-up charges, refreshment charges or other
service charges are
determined on an individual
basis.
6. Frequency of use, commitments or programs may be limited and
shall be evaluated on an
annual basis.
7. RCSC shall require evidence of insurance or other permits
required.
8. All events will be scheduled at the
various facilities through the RCSC club office, which has the duty to
allocate space, location, and times on the basis of size of event,
equipment needed, priority of other groups and other pertinent matters.
The club office will develop a procedure to implement this policy. RCSC
members will have priority.
9. Advertising must be low key and in good taste and appearance.
Management shall
review all publicity and
advertising covering the contracted event.
10. Bulletin boards in RCSC provided by management for general use,
will be available for
RCSC sponsored events and
chartered clubs. All material must be approved by
management.
11. All corporate bulletin boards to have wire mesh or glass
covering and to be protected by
a lock, if needed.
12. Guest artists will be permitted to sell their artistic works in
conjunction with their
performances, with prior
approval, when it benefits the membership. All sales subject to a
15% on gross sales will be
payable to RCSC.
13. Exceptions to this policy shall be submitted to the Board of
Directors on
Form BP:11-1,
after approval by Senior Management. (Amended

14. The club office will calculate and report to the RCSC Board all
discounted or free commitments on a dollar basis annually to determine
the
extent of RCSC donations to the community.
15. The following classification of groups shall be considered:
CLASS I:
Any club or organization that wishes to use RCSC facilities to
FREELY donate their
services to our residents may
be allowed to be exempt from rental or set-up charges.
For examples:
CLASS II:
Any club or organization that wishes to use RCSC facilities to
inform, educate, or advise our members as to civil, legislative, tax,
voting, health or other beneficial rights and privileges, may be given
free rent, but should pay for set-up charges. For example:

AARP Education Programs
CLASS III:
Other clubs or organizations should be subject to both rental
rates and set-up charges on
the basis of whether they
are:
a. Resident and non-profit, or
b. Non-resident and for-profit events
Management will keep a log of each and all such commitments
and programs, and shall
list the specific
criteria of each program.
16. Construction
of a communication tower on RCSC property shall be approved by the Board
of Directors.
