The 1,890 sq. ft. multi-use building at Recreation
Centers of Sun City, Inc.’s Bell Recreation Center will be officially
opened and dedicated in a ceremony on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 11
a.m.
The new multi-use building, which is located at the site of the former
lawn bowling building at the corner of Hutton Dr. and Boswell Blvd.,
will primarily house meeting spaces for RCSC chartered clubs and other
groups.
The building includes a 20’ by 40’ meeting room that can be divided into
two 20’ by 20’ spaces. These rooms will be available for clubs to use
for meetings and events and can be scheduled for use through the Clubs
and Activities Office. The space includes a small counter with a sink as
well as new men’s and women’s restrooms and storage for tables and
chairs. Like the new Bell pool and fitness facility, the multi-use
building will have up-to-date security and fire equipment, including
prewiring for a future card access system.
Approximately 600 sq. ft. of the building will also serve as club space
for the Bell Lawn Bowls Club.
“Especially with the impending Fairway project, RCSC is in need of
additional meeting space for clubs and groups. This new multi-use
building will provide that,” said Denny Nichols, President of the RCSC
Board of Directors..
