The
Recreation Centers of Sun City, Inc., is pleased to announce the
schedule of spring performances at the Sun Bowl, located at 10220 N.
107th Ave. in Sun City. Sun Bowl shows are free to RCSC cardholders and
guests, and this season’s slate of shows promises to delight Sun Citians
with a variety of exciting entertainment.

Sunday, March 2, 6:30 p.m.
From Hendersonville, Texas, their style is relaxed and personal; their
warmth contagious, their music is enthusiastic, full of laughter and
inspiring to audience of all ages.
DANCE SHOPPE
Sunday, March 9, 6:30 p.m.
A large cast of young dancers aging from junior
high through college from one of Phoenix’s most prestigious dance
schools will present a variety of contemporary dance styles. This
past summer after attending a competition in Orlando, they returned
with thirteen gold awards!
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE CONCERT
BAND OF THE WEST
Wednesday, March 12, 6:30 p.m.
This 45-piece concert band’s repertoire consists of
music from the Renaissance up to the present day and ranges from serious
symphonic band literature to Broadway musical, from Sousa marches to
Top-40 hits. This performance is
co-sponsored by the Daily News-Sun and open to the public.
PAUL MCDERMAND
Sunday, March 16, 6:30 p.m.
Backed by classical guitar and piano, Paul McDermand has elevated the
steel drums and marimba beyond their Caribbean and Central American
roots.
AL RAITANO AND THE STEVE GOLD TRIO

“America’s Most Talented Senior, Al Raitano continues to hold this title
today. He is a dynamic performer who sings and swings like Frank

The Scottsdale Concert Band is sponsored by
Scottsdale Community College with over 75 members. The repertoire
includes marches, overtures, show tunes, Big Band Swing and music of
the season.

Since 1950, The Four Aces have been
internationally acclaimed as a group for being superb showmen and
producing some of the most beautiful renderings of such songs as
“Sincerely,” “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing,” “Three Coins In The
Fountain” and “Dream” to name a few.
SUN CITY CONCERT BAND

Our very popular 130-piece concert band will
entertain us with Broadway show tunes, marches and patriotic music
including everyone’s favorite “Stars and Stripes Forever!”
HANAU O’HAWAII POLYNESIAN REVUE
Sunday, April 20, 7 p.m.
The Hanau O’Hawaii Polynesian Revue will
feature performances of native Hawaiian, Tahitian, Maori and Samoan
dance and music. Enjoy Hawaiian hulas, the thrilling Samoan Fire
Knife and Slap Dances.
RHYTHM CITY EXPRESS

Rhythm City Express is a 10-piece, horn-driven powerhouse dance band
that has been delighting audiences throughout Arizona. This group lays
down a beat that always keeps the crowd and dance floor rockin’! From
the hard charging songs of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s to the smokey blues
of downtown Chicago.
PRIMAVERA FOLKLORICO
Sunday, May 4, 7:30 p.m.
Primavera Folklorico celebrates the culture of Mexico through
traditional folklorico dance, augmented by fabulous colorful costumes
and Mariachi music.
PHOENIX BOYS CHORUS
Sunday, May 11, 7:30 p.m.
The Phoenix Boys Chorus continues to maintain their historic tradition
of singing boys, entertaining audiences with a unique blend of classical
and popular pieces. Their performance will warm your heart and delight
your ears.
Sun Bowl
concerts are free for all Recreation Centers of Sun City cardholders and
their invited guests. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
Smoking is allowed only in parking lots around the amphitheatre. Food
will be available for purchase from Mojoes.
