On
Thursday, November 16, the Recreation Centers of Sun City, Inc.’s Board
of Directors voted to increase bowling rates at RCSC’s two bowling
centers, Bell Lanes and Lakeview Lanes. As of January 1, 2008, the
Member rate will increase from $2 per game to $2.25 per game and the
Guest rate will increase from $2.25 per game to $2.50 per game. League
Record Service (LRS) will also be included for each game at no
additional charge.
RCSC bowling rates have not increased in three years. According to RCSC
Bowling Manager Randy Johnson, RCSC management and the Bowling Committee
were prompted to propose the rate increase due to the recent increase in
minimum wage, increases in utilities costs and other general operating
expenses and the decline in bowling participation.
Currently the RCSC bowling centers charge 15 cents per bowler (5 cents
per game) for the League Record Service (LRS), which is used by many of
RCSC’s bowling leagues to keep a record of their games. Since LRS will
be included with every game, leagues that currently use the LRS service
would only realize a 10 cent increase.
Leagues that have a current contract for LRS would not be subject to the
rate increases until the following season. All new and returning leagues
that do not have a current contract would be charged at the new rates.
“Our rates continue to be some of the lowest in the Valley,” noted RCSC
Bowling Manager Randy Johnson. “RCSC and the bowling staff are committed
to providing excellent service and a great experience for our bowlers.”
