RCSC Files for Building Permit on
Fairway Center Project
The Recreation Centers of
Sun City, Inc. continues to move forward with the project to renovate
Fairway Recreation Center. RCSC recently filed a building permit request
with Maricopa County and submitted building plans for approval.
The project to renovate Fairway, the
second oldest recreation center in Sun City, has been ongoing. “Even
with the Sundial reconstruction, we have continued to work on the
Fairway project,” said Denny Nichols, President of the RCSC Board of
Directors. “Fairway opened in 1961,” he continued. “Its renovation is
necessary in order for RCSC to continue to support our chartered clubs
and provide the variety of activities and pursuits for which Sun City is
known.”
President Nichols noted that the Board
and RCSC management is beginning to meet with clubs and organizations
that will be affected by the renovation project, including the Sun City
Library’s Fairway Center branch.
RCSC will keep cardholders informed as
the project progresses. “The schedule and course for the project will be
determined by a variety of factors, including how long the permitting
process takes,” said President Nichols. “We are excited to move forward,
but this is just the beginning.”
