Transition to New Golf
Fee Structure
A new golf fee structure eliminating trail fees
and annual trail passes will go into effect at the Recreation Centers of
Sun City, Inc., on Monday, October 1. RCSC realizes that many golfers
have already purchased their annual trail and golf passes. As such, RCSC
management has developed a transition plan for those who have already
purchased their passes for the 2007–2008 golf season. Neither annual
golf passes nor annual trail pass permits will be refunded.
1.
If you currently have an annual Surcharge Golf Pass and an annual
Trail Pass Permit and your Surcharge Golf Pass expires before your Trail
Pass Permit:
You will not
be charged the additional $2 surcharge until your Surcharge Golf Pass
expires, at which time your annual Trail Pass Permit will be prorated
(shown on a 12 month basis) for the unused portion and applied
towards the purchase of the annual Surcharge Golf Pass at the new rate
and begin paying the new surcharge rate. (Another option is to
upgrade to the annual No Fee Golf Pass at the time of renewal).
Example: Golf Pass Expires 5/2/2008
Trail Pass Permit Expires 7/7/2008
-
Cardholder does not pay additional surcharge
until 5/2/2008.
-
On 5/2/2008, cardholder renews his Surcharge
Golf Pass for $685 and receives prorated credit on Trail
Pass Permit for unused portion of 2 months of $33.32
($200 divided by 12 = $16.66/month). Cardholder pays net
amount of $651.68 and pays new surcharge rate every time
he/she plays golf.
2.
If you currently have an annual No Fee Golf Pass and an annual
Trail Pass Permit and your No Fee Golf Pass expires before your Trail
Pass Permit:
You will
continue to golf and use your own cart until your No Fee Golf Pass
expires, at which time your annual Trail Pass Permit will be prorated
(shown on a 12 month basis) for the unused portion and applied
towards the purchase of the annual No Fee Golf Pass at the new rate.
Example: Golf Pass Expires 5/2/2008
Trail Pass Permit Expires 7/7/2008
-
Cardholder continues to golf and use own
cart until 5/2/2008.
-
On 5/2/2008 cardholder renews his No Fee
Golf Pass for $1,365 and receives prorated credit on Trail
Pass Permit for unused portion of 2 months of $33.32
($200 divided by 12 = $16.66/month). Cardholder pays net
amount of $1,331.68.
3.
If you currently have an annual Surcharge Golf Pass and an annual
Trail Pass Permit and your Trail Pass Permit expires before your
Surcharge Golf Pass:
You will not
be charged the additional $2 surcharge until your Trail Pass Permit
expires, at which time you will begin paying the new surcharge rate.
4.
If you currently have an annual No Fee Golf Pass and an annual
Trail Pass Permit and your Trail Pass Permit expires before your No Fee
Golf Pass:
You will be
given two options:
a.
Prorate (shown on a 12-month basis), at a fee of $200/year, the
amount due to accommodate the Trail Pass Permit expiration matching the
renewal date of the annual No Fee Golf Pass:
Example:
Golf Pass Expires 7/7/2008
Trail Pass Permit Expires 5/2/2008
·
On 5/2/2008 cardholder pays an additional $33.32 prorated
portion of the former annual Trail Pass Permit ($200 divided by 12 =
$16.66/month) to make the now expiration date of Trail Pass Permit
7/7/2008, same as Golf Pass.
b. Your
annual renewal date of your No Fee Golf Pass will be changed to match
the expiration date on your annual Trail Pass Permit and at that time
the unused portion of your annual No Fee Golf Pass will be prorated
(on a 12 month basis) and applied towards the purchase of the annual
No Fee Golf Pass at the new rate.
Example:
Golf Pass Expires 7/7/2008
Trail Pass Permit Expires 5/2/2008
·
On 5/2/2008 cardholder purchases annual No Fee Golf Pass
at the new rate of $1,365 and receives credit for the prorated
($1,186 divided by 12 = $98.83/month) unused portion of previous No
Fee Golf Pass of $197.66. Cardholder pays net amount of $1,167.34 and
renewal date of No Fee Golf Pass is now 5/2/2009.
5.
If you currently have an annual Surcharge Golf Pass without an
annual Trail Pass Permit:
You will
begin paying the new surcharge rate as of 10/1/2007.
6.
If you currently have an annual No Fee Golf Pass without an
annual Trail Pass Permit:
You do not
have a valid golf pass as of 10/1/2007 and you have two options as shown
in #4 above.
7.
If you currently have an annual Surcharge Golf Pass with or
without an annual Trail Pass Permit and would like to upgrade to a No
Fee Annual Golf Pass:
You have
always been able to do so and will continue to be able to do so; the
unused portion of your annual Golf Pass and annual Trail Pass Permit
will be will be prorated (on a 12 month basis) and applied
towards the purchase of the No Fee Annual Golf Pass at the new rate.
8.
If you currently have an annual No Fee Golf Pass and would like
to downgrade to an annual Surcharge Golf Pass:
You cannot
do so until the renewal date of your annual No Fee Golf Pass.
9.
If you are from the same household and you both have annual Golf Passes
and one annual Trail Pass Permit and your expiration dates differ:
This is by
far the most complicated process in the transition of eliminating the
trail fees and there are numerous scenarios, therefore making it
difficult if not impossible to create a specific procedure. The above
described procedures (1–8) will apply until your first expiration date,
whether an annual Golf Pass or annual Trail Pass Permit, at such time
all members of the household should come into the Cardholder Services
(Membership) office at Lakeview Recreation Center to review the
options available.
10. If
you are from the same household and you have an annual Trail Pass Permit
and only one annual Golf Pass:
The
transition process of eliminating the trail fees will be based on the
cardholder in the household who has the annual Golf Pass.
11. If
you have an annual Trail Pass Permit and no annual Golf Pass:
You will not
be charged the additional $2 cardholder green fee until your annual
Trail Pass Permit expires.
12. If
you renewed your annual Golf Pass and Trail Pass Permit in the last 30
days (after 9/1/2007) and you would rather be subjected to the new rates
as of 10/1/2007:
Within the
month of October 2007 only you may apply 10/12ths of the annual fees you
paid towards the new annual fee rates; however, your expiration date
will no longer be in September but in October on the date you make the
change.
