Quail Run Golf
Course has achieved designation as a “Certified
Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" by the Audubon
Cooperative Sanctuary System (ACSS), the educational
division of Audubon International. Quail Run is the
seventh course in Arizona and the 616th in the world
to receive the honor.
Quail Run
has shown a strong commitment to its environmental
program through efforts to provide a sanctuary for
wildlife on the golf course property. To reach
certification, a course must demonstrate that they
are maintaining a high degree of environmental
quality in a number of areas. These categories
include: Environmental Planning, Wildlife and
Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical
Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and
Water Quality Management.
Quail Run is excited to become the seventh golf course as well as the
first nine-hole golf course in Arizona named as a
Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary golf course.
By achieving this honor we are helping change the
perception that golf courses are a detriment to the
environment and showing our dedication to protecting
the environment for us as well as our future
generations.
