High Scores at Lakeview Lanes
During the Arizona State Senior Tournament hosted by Bell Lanes and Lakeview lanes, several high scores were reported. On December 5, 2009 Greg Waldon of Sun City West bowled a perfect 300 game at Lakeview Lanes and on December 12, 2009 Sun City resident Wayne Wisniewski, Warren Eales and Dave Lastoria all bowled perfect 300 games on the same squad at Lakeview Lanes! Larry Barton was close with a 299 on December 12, 2009 at Lakeview. Mike Friedrichs led the 9 game Masters Qualifying with 2200 which is an amazing 244 average! In the first game of the Masters match play, Angelo Abbate bowled a perfect 300 game to advance to the stepladder format. In all, there were five 300 games at Lakeview during the Arizona State Senior Tournament.

High Scores at Bell Lanes
In a 10 day period, there were six 300 games and three 800 series bowled at Bell Lanes. On September 3, 2009, Paul Williams bowled a 300 game and another 300 game on September 11, 2009. Roger Wheeler shot a 300 game and 815 series on September 9, 2009, this was Roger's 51st 300 game. On September 11th, 2009 Jim Lunnie bowled a 300 game and an 821 series and then on September 13th, Jim shot another 300 game! On September 11, 2009 Clancy Degroodt bowled a 300 game and an 836 series!
In all three 300 games were bowled on September 11, 2009. Congratulations to all of the bowlers.
Volunteer Presentation
Three long-time bowling volunteers were honored at the monthly Board meeting on May 28, 2009. On behalf of the Sun City Bowling Association, Bowling Committee and RCSC Bowling, Bowling Manager Randy Johnson presented Rose Wetmore, Ed Glander and Bess Glander with plaques recognizing their years of volunteering and dedication to RCSC Bowling. Ladies Team Sets Records
During the 2009 Phoenix USBC Ladies Championship Tournament on February 22, 2009 at Bell Lanes, the "Kopper Kup Divas" from Peoria Arizona Bowled a 1046 team game which is the second highest all-time score in the USBC. The scores were Brenda Burns 300, Jennifer Cain 216, Savahna Porter 252 and Tina Stickney 278. The ladies also bowled the fifth highest all-time score in USBC History with a 2883 team series. Tina Stickney bowled a 290 the first game and finished with a fantastic 814 series while Brenda Burns finished with a 787 series. Congratulations ladies!
