Fairway
Recreation Center is undergoing a complete renovation. The two-phase
process began June 16, 2008. Continue to check this page for updates.
Asbestos
inspections were recently completed at all buildings slated for
demolition in Phase 1. Also, the Sun City Fire Department and Maricopa
County completed their reviews and issued the appropriate permits to
move forward with construction. Contract negotiations with the
contractor are ongoing.
The following rooms at Fairway are
closed for Phase 1 of the renovation project: the Arizona Room,
the billiards room, the music room, the auditorium, the library and the
pool and spa.
Clubs affected by Phase 1 work have

The following clubs are meeting
at Fairway throughout Phase 1 construction: Ceramics/Porcelain,
China Painting, Computer, Lawn Bowls, Knitters, Model Railroad and Woodworking.
Each continues to meet in its club room except the Knitters, which meets

The Arizona Attorney General's Office
has relocated to the Sun City Taxpayers Association Office. For

The Fairway branch of the Sun City
Library is closed throughout the renovation project. For more
